Reducing our internal shame and forgiving our ADHD selves

* All information about Kate's groundbreaking ADHD Women's Wellbeing Hormone Series is available here *

Parenting kids with ADHD is difficult enough, but when we also have ADHD, it can make life more challenging and reinforce our struggles back to us two-fold.

In today's ADHD Women's Wellbeing Podcast, we discuss this with TEDX speaker Martha Bernard-Rae, a personality and values-based SEO copywriter. Watch her fantastic TEDX talk here, entitled ADHD in Girls and Women - it's worth a watch.

During this episode, Kate and Martha spoke about:

  • Struggling with the little things in life and re-thinking failure through an ADHD lens
  • The ADHD diagnostic process in Australia
  • Martha's TEDX talk
  • Why Martha describes ADHD as "death by 1000 cuts"
  • Someone else "scaffolding" you in life and accepting you need to share the load
  • Leaning into our strengths and learning how to thrive with our awareness
  • Forgiving ourselves and focusing on what we're doing well
  • Being triggered by our kids and living compassionately with our ADHD
