11. Choosing radical authenticity for a happier life

"You can't control what people think, so acting in a way to try and control that, is pointless."

This week’s episode is with Nicole Goodman, a London-based women's self-care and empowerment coach and host of the hit podcast, @selfcareclubpod. As a certified women’s identity expert, Nicole supports women to accept themselves, understand themselves and most importantly BE themselves. Nicole understands a woman’s process as she’s worked with women one-on-one for over 25 years. She understands how women feel in today’s world, where they struggle, and more importantly, how to change the conversation from where they aren’t good enough, into what they really want and who they really are.

Kate and Nicole talked about:

  • Standing in your power, using your voice and speaking honestly
  • Being your authentic self after an ADHD diagnosis
  • The difference between male and female assertiveness
  • What self-care really looks like to you
  • Moving away from guilt and people-pleasing
  • Learning our values and what we stand for
  • Following good energy and knowing what 'fills' us up
  • The importance of sleep for the ADHD brain
  • Not "staying in your lane and playing small"
  • How exercise can ground you
  • The pillars of self-care
