Money & ADHD: accepting our brains, removing shame and unlearning old beliefs

Money and financial wellbeing can often be a shameful topic for many of us with ADHD, yet it's not discussed enough to help remove the taboo in order to help more people understand their finances better. People with ADHD are statistically more likely to go into debt, buy impulsively and find it more difficult to keep track of their finances than neurotypical people.

This week’s guest is Tina Mathams, aka The ADHD Accountant on Instagram, who helps ADHD entrepreneurs with their finances, and also coaches vital money management tools for ADHD brains.

During this week's episode, Kate and Tina talk about:

  •  Re-writing your money story
  • Letting go of your family or parent's beliefs about money
  • Why managing and dealing with money can be harder with ADHD
  • How dyscalculia can be a reason why managing money can feel so challenging
  • The energetics of money and abundance
  • Tools to help you navigate money with ease
  • The importance of a strong money mindset and how to grow one!
  • Money affirmations to help build new neural pathways

You can connect with Tina via her website, www.lifewithadhd.co, on her Instagram account and via her YouTube channel. Tina also has a free resource for all listeners of the podcast - to download her ‘How to Overcome Impulsive Spending guide’ click here
